Nepal – goodbye
We slijten dagen in Athiti House, hopend op beterschap die niet komt. Na lang wikken en wegen en een nieuw ziekenhuisbezoek in Kathmandu lassen we de Anapurna-trekking af. Te zwak, te slecht hersteld, en een ontstoken zeer pijnlijke arm van de baxters. Mede ook door de brandstofcrisis in Nepal (we kunnen nergens naartoe) beslissen we 10 dagen eerder door te vliegen naar Bangkok.
Met zeer veel spijt beloven we terug te komen (om de Himalaya van écht dichtbij te zien), en intussen hopen we dat de reisverzekering voor de eerste keer in ons leven eens wakker is.
